Falcon,
Hearing that about 60 GE employees will be in the unemployment line, would it be wise for all government employees to have a wage freeze? In these tough economic times, it only makes sense to do this for both fairness and financial reasons. There are many people in our area that have either lost their jobs or are working reduced hours. Are these same people going to see a property tax increase next year to pay for local government employee pay raises for the next 5 years? It sure looks like it. Our local government representatives need to have a little more guts and passion to put in a wage freeze. What about the poor taxpayer that is already suffering or the retired person that can't afford much more? When will these government employees ever get enough? It is not tough times for them. They are receiving MORE of our money that is literally taken from us. They are not concerned about the rest of us, and that is troubling.
